Jennifer Lopez had an unwelcome visitor hanging out at her mansion in Southampton, New York this month, according to police.

John M. Dubis, a 49-year-old man from Rhode Island, was earlier this month arrested and charged with burglary and stalking after he was found at the pool house of the 3-acre property that Lopez purchased earlier this year for almost $10 million. She was not home at the time and had already had an order of protection against the man, according to a police report obtained by OTRC.com.

Dubis has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree felony burglary, first-degree felony criminal contempt, fourth-degree misdemeanor stalking and misdemeanor possession of burglar tools. He has not commented on the case.

Workers at Lopez's mansion had discovered Dubis on Aug. 8 and called police. Detectives found him in the pool house, where he is believed to have resided for a week, and arrested him. He was taken to a county jail, where he remains as of Wednesday, Aug. 22. His bail was set at $100,000.

A New York court has ordered an exam to determine whether or not Dubis is "fit to proceed in reference to the criminal charges." He is due in court later this month.
