World War II veteran reunited with long-lost dog tags

INDIANAPOLIS

It's a moment Jahue Mundy thought would never happen. After 67 years, his dog tags were finally found and returned.

Wednesday, Mundy met the couple who found his long-lost tags. The couple says they were gardening in their backyard when they came across the tags in Indiana.

How the tags ended up in the Hoosier State is still a mystery because Mundy says he lost them in China.

Mundy earned the Purple Heart during his time in service. His son, Mike, keeps it at his home, and that is where Mundy says the dog tags will stay.
