Authorities say the investigation began July 1. The girl was sexually assaulted after leaving a party on May 12 in the area of Grand Avenue and Adelfa Street.
The victim was given alcohol while at the party by a male, authorities said, and she was later sexually assaulted by two males, later identified as 18-year-old Tyler Romero and 19-year-old Michael Petler. Both men are from Lake Elsinore.
Romero and Petler were arrested last Wednesday and booked for forced sexual assault of the 14-year-old.
