Man attacked, thrown in Camaro trunk in Inglewood: witnesses

INGLEWOOD, Calif.

Police officers responded to a report of a possible kidnapping on the 2400 block of West 85th Street at about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Witnesses said two men drove up in a white convertible 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, got out of the car and attacked another male adult. The victim fell to the ground and the two suspects grabbed him and threw him into the trunk of the vehicle, according to witnesses. The men drove northbound on Byrd Avenue.

Police were seeking more information about the incident, including the identity of the possible victim, and whether witnesses may have misinterpreted the incident.

Out of concern for public safety Inglewood Police are asking for the public's assistance. If anyone has a friend or relative who frequents or lives in the area and has not been heard from recently, please attempt to contact that person. If you are unable to reach them, you are asked to contact the Inglewood Police Department.
