A search is underway for a man who forcibly kissed and inappropriately touched a Cypress College student on campus Thursday.

The attack took place while the female student was walking near the library around 8 p.m.

Police said the suspect engaged the victim in conversation, at which time the victim attempted to walk away. That's when the suspect grabbed the victim and attempted to kiss her on the lips against the will.

The victim began to walk away but the suspect grabbed her and fondled her breast before fleeing.

The suspect was described as a white man, between 18 and 24 years old, standing around 5 feet 6 inches and weighing about 150 pounds with short, dark hair and an unshaven face. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a long sleeve shirt, possibly a sweatshirt.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with additional information was urged to contact the Cypress Police Department at (714) 229-6631 or Cypress College Campus Safety at (714) 484-7387.
