Officers say they responded to a domestic violence call from the wife of 34-year-old Joshua Frank Olivas Saturday night.
The woman told police she got into an argument with her husband, that he physically assaulted her and stabbed her once with a knife.
She ran to a neighbor's house and called for help. The suspect fled in his car.
Police found it abandoned a short time later, but Olivas was gone.
The woman is recovering.
