In the new movie "Paradise," Julianne Hough plays Lamb, a small town girl yearning to break free of her parents, her church and her old way of life.

She's survived a horrible accident, and the experience has left her wanting to live the rest of her life to the fullest.

Oscar winner Octavia Spencer plays a woman who befriends Lamb after she lands in Las Vegas looking for her first wild weekend.

Both actresses were beyond thrilled to be able to say words written by Oscar winner Diablo Cody.

"I've been a fan, and to me she's the voice of a whole generation that people are trying to emulate, and there's only one. There's only one. And it was an honor for me to get to work with her," said Spencer.

"I was actually really excited to try to nail every single word because that is Diablo's voice," said Hough. "It was a really exciting and cool challenge for me to do something very different."

Cody calls being able to cast her film an "incredible privilege."

"It's just a very exciting day when you find out that Octavia Spencer is in your movie, or finding out definitively that we were going to get Julianne as Lamb is just very cool," said Cody.

The film is in theaters this weekend, and is now available on demand and iTunes.
