California Highway Patrol officers say when they tried to pull over 46-year-old Christian Johnson for speeding, he took off.
The pursuit began around 11 p.m. in Lancaster at Avenue I and Division Street and ended at Avenue I and 30th Street.
While searching the suspect's car, investigators say they found drugs and arrested Johnson for evading and for possession of narcotics.
