$5K reward offered for dog stolen during Studio City break-in

STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES

Karen Chamberlain's little white Maltese named Jack was stolen from her home by burglars.

"I know that Jack knows that he's close to my heart all the time," said Chamberlain.

The Studio City woman says someone broke into her apartment on the 4100 block of Radford Avenue last Monday. She came home from work and found her bedroom ransacked. Her laptop and her dog's carrier were missing.

"I just thought about 'oh my god, my baby, where's my baby?'" she said.

Chamberlain and her friends have posted hundreds of flyers in the neighborhood, and she's started a Facebook page in hopes of getting information that will help her find Jack. She's owned her beloved 6 1/2-year-old dog since he was just a few weeks old. The Maltese does have a microchip.

"He's just the little light of my life," she said. "He's just the most precious, sweet little spirit, and I just can't wait to see him again."

Chamberlain is offering a $5,000 reward and pleading for Jack's return.

"I don't want to punish you; you can have the $5,000. I just want Jack," said Chamberlain.
