David Beltran, 32, was standing outside a house party on the 2000 block of Thurman Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
LAPD officers responded to a report of shots fired at the location at about 12:19 a.m. Sunday and found people aiding a wounded man. Paramedics transported the man, Beltran, to a local hospital, where he died later from his injuries.
Police said Beltran was standing outside the house party when an unidentified man approached on foot and stabbed him. Gunshots were also fired in the direction of Beltran, according to police.
