Manhattan Toy Quixel baby rattles recalled due to choking hazard

LOS ANGELES

The recalled Quixel baby rattles are made of plastic arches with attached sliding beads. These arches can break into small parts and pose a choking hazard.

The company has received four reports of the rattles breaking, but no injuries have been reported.

Consumers who bought these rattles are urged to return them for full refunds.

The recalled products were sold in specialty toy and baby stores nationwide, in Canada and also online from September 2011 through October 2013 for about $15.

About 8,300 products were recalled in the U.S. and 4,100 in Canada.
