The remains were found by pipeline maintenance workers in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. A coroner has determined that the debris consisted of a plastic skull and a scattering of animal bones.
The workers had called investigators after finding "unusual debris" that looked like human remains.
