Police say someone inside the Tarzana home called 911 around 9:30 a.m. Saturday to report an intruder on the property.
Police responded and took the suspect, 19-year-old Juan Garcia, from Arizona, into custody.
It is unclear if Gomez was home during the incident.
Gomez and her family have a three-year restraining order against a man accused of threatening to kill her and traveling from Illinois to meet her. A judge granted it in January 2011.
