Man waiting for bus shot, killed in Norwalk

Authorities investigate a shooting in Norwalk that left a man dead Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014.

A 41-year-old man waiting for a bus was shot and killed in Norwalk on Sunday, homicide investigators said.

The shooting happened in the 13200 block of Rosecrans Avenue around 6:18 p.m.

Police say the suspect exited a white van, walked up to the victim, and shot him multiple times. The suspect then jumped back in the van and fled south on Claressa Street.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the man is a known gang member but not from the local area.
