A Tustin man was electrocuted and killed while he tried to take pictures of the sunset from a tree Saturday night.

Police say 27-year-old David Strohm was sitting in a tree in the backyard of his home on the 15600 block of South California Street when he came in contact with wires.

Fire officials say he managed to post some of the pictures on Facebook.

His parents found him dead around 8:40 a.m. and alerted the fire department.

Firefighters had to wait until Southern California Edison officials turned off the power lines around the tree to remove the body.

No further information was released.
