Metro Blue Line train collides with vehicle; 13 injured

LOS ANGELES

The incident occurred on the 300 block of Washington Boulevard just before 10 a.m. Metro spokesman Marc Littman says the Toyota Sienna apparently ran the red light and hit the northbound train at an intersection.

Two people were listed in serious condition. Ten people were listed in fair condition, according to LAFD spokeswoman Katherine Main. The minivan driver didn't have serious injuries and declined to be transported.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation. Travelers were experiencing delays of about 10 minutes, said Littman.
