According to the LAPD, Kardashian was packing up, getting the house ready for a new owner, when she noticed some very pricey items gone. An LAPD source told Eyewitness News that up to $250,000 worth of property was taken, including jewelry.
A report was filed with Los Angeles police that stated that property was taken from the former couple's home around 4 p.m. on Monday.
Police found no signs of forced entry. Investigators reportedly gathered fingerprints in hopes of finding the suspect or suspects responsible. The couple's battery-operated surveillance cameras were dead, according to an LAPD source.
On Tuesday, Kardashian took to Twitter to voice her frustration following the burglary. She emphasized her belief that the bad deed would contribute to bad karma in the suspect or suspects' life.
The news comes at a tumultuous time in the former couple's life. Kardashian filed for divorce from Odom in December. The couple married on Sept. 27, 2009.
The 34-year-old Odom is currently signed with a pro team in Spain. The LAPD says Odom is not in the mix in this investigation.
