The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. It's unknown why the pedestrian was on the freeway.
The incident, which occurred at around 4:15 a.m., initially shutdown all northbound lanes near Paramount Boulevard, backing up traffic all the way back to the 605 Freeway.
One lane was eventually opened at about 5:30 a.m. Motorists were advised to take Telegraph Road as an alternate route. All lanes reopened at about 6:40 a.m.
