A 20-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested for a tweet threatening to shoot someone walking down the street.

Authorities say Dakkari McAnuff posted photos on Twitter showing a rifle pointed toward L.A. streets, each with the caption "100 RT's (Re-Tweets) and i'll shoot someone walking."

Officers were able to determine the location that the pictures were taken and the identity of the Twitter account user.

McAnuff was arrested around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at his residence in the 700 block of 9th Street and booked for making criminal threats. He is being held on $50,000 bail. An air rifle was recovered at the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to call the LAPD at (877) LAPD-24-7.
