Vera Bradley recalling 98,000 rattles, stuffed toys

Designer Vera Bradley is recalling 98,000 units of two toys that may pose a choking hazard to young children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Wednesday.

The Vera Bradley Bear Ring Rattle and Bunny stuffed toys have white pom-pom tails that can detach from the body and may cause young children to choke. The company has received two reports of this occurring, but no injuries have been reported.

The toys were sold between September 2012 and January 2014 in retail and department stores and specialty gift shops.

Below is a list of the serial numbers for the recalled toys:

  • Bunny Lola - 007590013357145
  • Bunny Lillie Bell - 0000630012803140
  • Bunny Tutti Frutti - 0000630012803142
  • Bear Ring Rattle Lola -007590013234135

Those who own these products should immediately remove them from children's reach and return them to Vera Bradley for a full refund. They may also call Vera Bradley toll-free at (888) 855-8372 or fill out an online form to receive a pre-paid mailer.
