Brittany Murphy's final film, "Something Wicked," is being released four years after her sudden death, producers announced.

The first showing will be at the Regal Valley River Center in Eugene, Ore., where the independent movie was filmed, on April 4. Then the movie will be shown at several Regal Cinemas in Portland and Seattle in the following weeks.

"The better we do in theaters, the more cities will be added so we need your help getting the word out," said a post on the movie's Facebook page.

"Something Wicked" is about a young couple whose "gruesome secrets" get in the way of their happily ever after.

The 32-year-old Murphy died in 2009 of pneumonia, iron deficiency and multiple drug intoxication, according to an autopsy. Her death delayed the film's post-production schedule.
