2-legged dog 'Duncan Lou Who' becomes Internet sensation

LOS ANGELES

The adorable Boxer named "Duncan Lou Who" or "DLW" has captured hearts around the world. He was born with severely deformed rear legs that had to be removed when he was 3 months old. Panda Paws Rescue, which takes care of Duncan, says the bones in his legs had fused into a pretzel-like shape and there was nothing they could do to save them.

Duncan has a wheelchair but prefers not to use it. In a recent video posted by the rescue organization, Duncan is seen happily running around on his two legs during his first trip to the beach. That video has been seen more than 3.8 million times on YouTube.

Duncan's caregivers say his future is unknown because of his medical issues. His bones have stopped growing and, at 18 pounds, he's still the same size that he was when he was 4 months old.

Many people have asked on social media why Duncan is so skinny, but Panda Paws Rescue assures us that he's not malnourished. They say he eats as much as a full grown Boxer should. He just has a condition that doesn't allow him to gain weight.
