DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

FBI and LAPD personnel were in pursuit of a kidnapping suspect considered armed and dangerous. The chase began in the area of Boyle Heights around 12:30 p.m. Affected streets were re-opened by 3 p.m.

The suspect, identified as Jesus Ramirez, was seen running into a building on the 800 block of Broadway after abandoning a red and gray Ford Expedition at 9th and Broadway.
