Witnesses told police that a man entered the store at 1055 S. Patterson Rd., shortly after 10 p.m., pointed a the gun at the clerk and demanded money. The suspect was described as a black male, 6-foot-5 inches tall, about 200 pounds wearing dark clothing, police said.
The clerk told police the man fled on foot northbound.
