GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (KABC) -- Two men armed with a gun robbed a gas station early Thursday morning in Garden Grove and authorities are investigating whether the incident is connected to two similar recent crimes in Orange County.

Garden Grove Police department officers responded about 3 a.m. to a report of a commercial robbery an Arco station in the 13400 block of Brookhurst Street, according to a news release.

An employee told investigators that two men, one with a handgun, had entered the business and demanded cash.

"The robbers were given an unknown amount of money" and fled the scene," the police statement said. No injuries were reported.

The suspects were each described as wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a bandana that covered his face.

"At this time we are still in the preliminary stages of the investigation," a police spokesperson said when asked about a possible link to two incidents that occurred Wednesday. "We do not know if it is related to the other robberies at this time."
