2 Azusa men stabbed near church

AZUSA, Calif. (KABC) -- Two men were stabbed near a church in Azusa Sunday afternoon.

Authorities received the call around 1:06 p.m. The two men, 32 and 35, were involved in a fight with a third person when they were stabbed in the 600 block of East 5th Street. They ran toward a nearby church for help.

One of the men was found in the parking lot and the other man inside the church. Both of the men suffered from multiple stab wounds, authorities said.

The men were transported to a nearby hospital in critical and stable condition. The Azusa residents' identities have not been released.

The suspect is believe to be a man, but no further details were released. The investigation is ongoing.
