Police are questioning a woman after an infant was found alone in an unlocked car in downtown Los Angeles Thursday.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are questioning a woman after an infant was found alone in an unlocked car in downtown Los Angeles Thursday.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Figueroa Street at Bunker Hill Towers after a call reporting the child inside the unsecured vehicle.

According to the LAPD, the baby is just a few months old and was transported to a local hospital. The baby's condition was not immediately known.

Photos taken by a security guard at the apartment building where the baby was found showed a woman being detained by officers.
