BIG BEAR CITY, Calif. (KABC) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.6 struck near Big Bear City on Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor struck around 11:43 a.m. 6.2 miles east southeast of Big Bear City and 9.9 miles east of Big Bear Lake, the USGS said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
