3.5-magnitude quake rattles Big Bear

A 3.-5 magnitude earthquake struck 9 miles south of Big Bear Lake Friday evening.

The quake hit around 7:31 p.m. Residents in the Big Bear area as well as some in Yucaipa, Sugarloaf and Beaumont felt the tremblor.

There were no immediate reports of damage. This is the third earthquake above a 3.0 to strike the area within the last month, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
