BIG BEAR, Calif. (KABC) -- Fresh snowfall on Sunday made for some pretty good skiing and snowboarding in the Southern California mountains, including Bear Mountain.
Dustin MacLonan works at Snow Summit and said he's happy to see the mountains covered in white.
Depending on mountain location, skiers and snowboarders got to enjoy 3-5 inches of the white stuff, which one skier said was an early Christmas present.
"What better Southern California? You get snow for Thanksgiving. I can go home tomorrow and go to work -- it'd be nice and warm," said Ric Hammond, a Long Beach resident.
A spokesperson from Big Bear Mountain Resorts Properties said about 10,000 people have already visited their two properties in the past couple of days -- and Sunday's tally wasn't even in yet.
