SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Multiple people were hospitalized after a big rig slammed into a burger joint in South Los Angeles early Sunday.

The crash happened just after 3 a.m. near the intersection of Hoover Street and Florence Avenue, according to Los Angeles police from the South Traffic Division.

Authorities said the postal mail truck collided with another vehicle that was occupied, lost control, ran off the road and slammed into the Tom's Jr. Burger building.

Police said multiple people involved in the crash were transported, some with moderate injuries. No one in the building was hurt, according to authorities from the LAPD.
