Bob Marley's Hollywood Walk of Fame star vandalized

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Bob Marley's Walk of Fame Star in Hollywood has been damaged by vandals.

Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said it appears someone took a sledgehammer to the reggae legend's star.

The damage was discovered on Monday.

It will cost the Hollywood Historic Trust nearly $3,000 to repair the star.

Bob Marley passed away in 1981.

His wife, Rita, accepted the star on his behalf in 2001.
