Boulder kills man digging for bottles in San Jacinto

SAN JACINTO, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was killed by a boulder while he and his wife were digging for bottles in a remote riverbed in San Jacinto.

Riverside County firefighters responded shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday to the 43500 block of Cedar Avenue. The boulder had fallen over and pinned the man underneath.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
