BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A nun who was struck by a black truck in Boyle Heights died at the hospital Sunday.
Sister Raquel Diaz, 70, was critically injured after being hit by the truck while she was in the crosswalk at Winter Street and Evergreen Avenue on Dec. 13.
The city of Los Angeles had issued a $25,000 reward for information leading to the identity of the hit-and-run driver.
Diaz, who was the director of religious education at the Church of Assumption had been a nun for more than 50 years.
