The Los Angeles City and County Fire departments are sending crews to help fight an explosive fire in Northern California Saturday.
The so-called Butte Fire, burning in Calaveras and Amador counties, began Wednesday.
The blaze has burned more than 64,000 acres in three days, and Cal Fire reports 15 structures are destroyed and 6,400 more are threatened.
The fire is only 10 percent contained.
The Long Beach and Garden Grove Fire departments also announced they are sending firefighters to aid in the unprecedented growth.
