A cellphone video captured the dramatic rescue of an 11-year-old girl caught in a rip current near the Port Hueneme Pier on Sunday.

PORT HUENEME, Calif. (KABC) -- A cellphone video captured the dramatic rescue of an 11-year-old girl caught in a rip current near the Port Hueneme Pier on Sunday.

Officials said the girl's father and four other people jumped into the water, but they were also overcome by the current. Fisherman at the pier lowered boogie boards to help.
