HOLLYWOOD HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man arrested on suspicion of stalking Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron allegedly showed up to her home in the Hollywood Hills Sunday carrying flowers and then refused to leave, police said.

Stanislav Sonseadec, 54, of Illinois, had flowers in his hand when detectives found him standing outside Theron's home at about 7:40 p.m., a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said.

He was immediately taken into custody and released on Monday after posting $150,000 bail, jail records show.

Police say Sonseadec recently bought a vehicle in Chicago and drove it directly to Southern California.

Theron, 40, recently starred alongside Tom Hardy and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the action blockbuster "Mad Max: Fury Road."

She also appeared on a star-studded panel last month alongside First Lady Michelle Obama. The event was aimed at publicizing Mrs. Obama's "Let Girls Learn" campaign to expand girls' access to education in developing countries and encourage American girls to take advantage of their opportunities.
