3-year-old Tustin boy dies after being struck by car in driveway

TUSTIN, Calif. (KABC) -- A 3-year-old boy died after suffering injuries from a single-vehicle collision in Tustin.

The Tustin Police Department said the child was struck on Tuesday by a Ford Explorer, driven by a female adult who was uninjured and remained at the scene.

Police report that responders found the boy in driveway of an apartment complex on Pasadena Ave. with his family members.

Tustin Police Officers said they administered medical aid and paramedics transported the boy to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police did not report alcohol and drugs as a factor.

The Tustin Police Department Traffic Unit is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.

Police said there have been no arrests or citations, and the cause is still under investigation.
