Reckless driver leads CHP on high-speed chase

CALABASAS, Calif. (KABC) -- An alleged reckless driver behind the wheel of an SUV led California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase from Calabasas to the Mid-City area of Los Angeles Friday afternoon.

The chase began on the eastbound 101 Freeway near Parkway Calabasas at about 5:45 p.m. The suspect then headed south at speeds of up to 100 mph on the 405 Freeway, then to the eastbound 10 Freeway to the Palms area where he exited the freeway.

The suspect was taken into custody near Ridgeley Drive and Apple Street at 6:20 p.m.
