Claremont man, 53, arrested for alleged sex with teen

CLAREMONT, Calif. (KABC) -- A 53-year-old Claremont man was arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl, police said.

Claremont police say they got an anonymous tip about the man having a sexual relationship with a teen. Investigators say they believed the man had sex with the teen in the past and had agreed to meet with her in Claremont for what police described as his "continued sexual pleasures."

They arranged a meeting for Saturday night, where he was met by Claremont officers.

The suspect, identified as Jon Crittenden, 53, of Claremont, was arrested for contacting a minor for sex, having sex with a minor, and oral copulation with a minor.

He was released after posting $50,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment in January.
