VIDEO: Students explore interests at construction career day

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- In an effort to open young minds to new possibilities, the Los Angeles Trade Technical College opened its doors Thursday to an additional 1,000 students from 32 local high schools.

The sixth annual LA Construction and Associated Careers Awareness Day was a joint effort between LATTC, California Community Connection Corporation, LAUSD and the Economic and Workforce Development Department.

Students received tours of the campus, spoke to industry professionals and even participated in some of the classes.
