NEW YORK -- A massive crane collapsed New York's Tribeca neighborhood in Lower Manhattan on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016.

Fire officials said one person was killed and two others were seriously injured following the accident, which was reported around 8:25 a.m. The crane landed across several parked cars, smashing their roofs.

The collapsed metal lattice landed across an intersection and stretched much of a block.
