Family speaks out after historic $2 million settlement with Long Beach
Family members of a mentally disabled man who was shot and killed by Long Beach police are speaking out about their long legal fight for justice.

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- It's been 2.5 years since a mentally disabled man was killed by law enforcement at a Long Beach arcade.

Mharloun Saycon was 39 years old.

Attorney Joe Sayas says on the eve of the trial, the city offered a historic $2 million settlement.

"The payment of $2 million is enough recognition that the officers used excessive force," Sayas said.
