Caught on camera: gorilla's dance routine delights zoo visitors
A 3-year-old gorilla at a zoo in England twirled like a ballet dancer as amused visitors watched.

A 3-year-old gorilla's dance routine delighted visitors to a zoo in England, and is now amusing people worldwide in a viral video that has been seen more than 1.5 million times.

The video captured by a visitor to the Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire, England, shows Lope the young silverback agilely twirling in a play area, extending his arm out as if he's holding a partner.

The Twycross Zoo is world famous for its primate-breeding program and has one of the largest collections of apes and monkeys in the world.

A zoo official told the BBC that Lope's dancing is a form of playing, an important element of young apes' behavior.
