DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (KABC) -- It's every mother's worst nightmare. A Diamond Bar mom had just placed her baby in an infant carrier inside her SUV and closed the door.

That's when she realized that she had locked the car and left the keys inside the infant carrier.

It was a hot day and an even hotter Target parking lot. The woman immediately called 911 for help and Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies quickly arrived.

They could see the baby's face turning red and sweating profusely.

Deputies took immediate action and broke the window to rescue the 6-month-old from the hot car.

Paramedics checked out the baby who was fine after the brief ordeal.
