Flames force flight headed to LAX to make emergency landing
Shortly after Southwest Airlines Flight 604 took off from Salt Lake City International Airport, there was trouble with the engine, and the pilots had to take immediate action.

A Southwest Airlines aircraft returned to Salt Lake City International Airport shortly after takeoff because one of its engines caught fire.

According to Southwest, the flight departed from Salt Lake City and was bound for Los Angeles International Airport, but it turned around due to an "engine issue." Passengers said they could see the flames from the engine.

The aircraft, a Boeing 737, landed without any issues. There were 110 passengers, with no reports of injuries, the airline said.
