LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 4-month-old girl has died from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash Saturday night on the 110 Freeway in Elysian Park, authorities said Sunday.

Four people were injured in the crash and a driver was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI causing injuries, the CHP said. He was identified as Jared Silvestri, 26, of Pasadena.

CHP investigators said Silvestri was traveling at a high rate of speed on the northbound 110 just south of the 5 Freeway around 6:37 p.m. when he struck a 2006 Chrysler that was slowing down and moving to the right shoulder.

Both vehicles careened out of control and hit a third car that was also traveling northbound on the 110, the CHP said.

Four people, including Silvestri, were hospitalized with injuries following the crash.

The injured included an infant from Carson in the 2006 Chrysler, who has now died. A 10-year-old in the vehicle was also injured, as was the driver, a 48-year-old woman from La Crescenta.

The driver of the third vehicle, a 35-year-old man from Denver, was not injured.
