911 tape released in Michael Jace murder case
Authorities released audio to a 911 call made by Michael Jace's father-in-law soon after the fatal shooting of his daughter.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police released Thursday the audio of a 911 call made by actor Michael Jace's father-in-law soon after the fatal shooting of his daughter.

"The Shield" actor Michael Jace, 51, was arrested in May at his Hyde Park home, after he allegedly shot his wife April Jace while his two sons were home. Michael Jace allegedly also called 911 admitting to the shooting, but authorities did not release that tape.

In the call with Michael Jace's father-in-law, the 911 operator asked: "Tell me exactly what happened."

Michael Jace's father-in-law responded: "My son-in-law called me, texted me and said come get the kids because he shot April our daughter."

The two boys have since been moved into their grandparents care.

Michael Jace's arraignment is scheduled for June.
