LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The granddaughter of Dee Snider, who shot to stardom as the lead singer for Twisted Sister in the 1980s, was born on the 405 Freeway on Sunday.

Patty and Jesse Snider were rushing to the hospital when Parker Pryde Snider couldn't wait any longer.

"We were a little surprised by it all," Jesse Snider, the son of Dee Snider said in a video posted to Instagram. "We waited a little too long to leave I think."

Jesse Snider, a singer and songwriter in his own right, said the couple was headed to UCLA along the 405 Freeway from their Valley Glen home when baby Parker came about halfway through the journey.

"It was just amazing, the most amazing experience of my life," Jesse Snider told ABC7. "I'm even more amazed by how happy it's making everyone else to hear about it."

The couple, who has been married nine years, was happy to report baby Parker was born healthy at about 2:50 p.m.

Parker's grandfather was in Germany when he received the news, and his son said he was ecstatic.

Dee Snider exploded onto the music scene with Twisted Sister in the late 1970s, and hit fame in the 1980s with hits such as "We're Not Going To Take It" and "I Wanna Rock."

Jesse Snider is also a musician and has written several songs for TV shows.

Patty and Jesse Snider have had three children prior to Parker, but said she was the easiest birth for them.

The couple said their second child was almost born in the car, but they barely managed to make it in time to the hospital.

Patty's birthday is Monday, so the couple said baby Parker was the best early birthday present they could imagine.
