'Nashville' stars take their musical act on the road
The stars of 'Nashville' may play fictional country music singers, but they're bringing their real-life talent to stages all across the country for 'Nashville in Concert.'

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Several of the stars of ABC's "Nashville" are blurring the line between fact and fiction by hitting the road for a new concert tour.

Charles Esten was among a group of stars who did the the tour last summer, but on a smaller scale. The fans loved the idea, so they're doing it again.

This time, the tour has more dates and more cities, including Los Angeles.

"There's nothing like being right there with the fans of the show," Esten said. "These have turned into events with these fans of the show that have come to love these characters, these stories, these songs, so it turns into a real party."

On screen, Esten's character Deacon is battling liver cancer and is on the wait list for organ donation. Charles hopes shining a light on the topic might serve as an inspiration.

"Although it's entertainment and it's drama, if it ever happened that somebody saw our show and thought, 'Maybe I'll actually go become a donor,' that would mean everything," Esten said. "It's this strange combination of very easy to do and very heroic. That doesn't happen a lot!"

"Nashville" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
